On Saturday the 2nd March 2013 the EDL came to Manchester to demonstrate their voice and to demonstrate their beliefs. This included many visual messages, against Islam, banners declaring their patriotism etc. One of the most striking visual messages was that they brought a Pakistani flag to the front of the protest and set it on fire in front of the journalists and counter protesters.
This was a clear and official message by the EDL – they hate Pakistan.
Why would they hate Pakistan?
Pakistan is key ally in the war against Islamic extremism, the Taliban and Alquida. Pakistan was officially recognised by NATO as a (MNNA) or Major non-NATO ally waaay back in 2004. Pakistan has been the front line since 2001 in the ever shifting operational areas in the war against Islamists- the same people the EDL also claim to oppose.
Pakistan’s Swat valley suffered tremendously when the Taliban swarmed into the area, and a massive push (The 2nd Battle of Swat) by up to 45,000 Pakistani forces cleared out and destroyed the Taliban from the area, reportedly killing approximately 2,000 Taliban fighters. The intense combat in the rural valleys and FIBUA (Fighting In Built Up Areas) was especially difficult for Pakistani armed forces as the Taliban liked to hide within civilian areas resulting in civilian deaths. Up to 2,000,000 civilians were displaced by the operations against the Taliban and Islamists.
Pakistan also provides logistical support for NATO forces, as it provided the infrastructure (roads, depo’s bases etc) to allow fuel and equipment to pass from ports into Afghanistan. The Taliban declared the NATO routes and the Pakistani logistical support as targets and has resulted in Pakistani casualties. Without Pakistani help and support, the war in Afghanistan would have been lost.
Much blood has been lost and shed by Pakistan in helping NATO fight Islamists and extremists and they remain a key ally. Pakistan is on OUR side and Pakistan continues to demonstrate their loyalty to us by paying with casualties
So, what sort of group would oppose a key ally
By Burning the Pakistan flag, they show the EDL oppose the work Pakistan is doing against Islamism, just like the Taliban do.
In attacking a NATO ally, they show that they have far more in common with the Islamists and Jihadists.
EDL – exactly whose side are you on anyway? I don’t think the EDL even know anymore, or ever did.
Or perhaps they just burned the flag as a bit of good old fashioned ‘paki bashing’
EDL – Not racist, not acting like Islamists.
The EDL and Islamists are different sides of the same coin.
[Futher thought] As the EDL were being brought into their penn, they tried to break out and attack the photographers and press. They tried this a little later on, and attacked the police for trying to protect the press. Perhaps the EDL believe having photographs taken is some form of sin, just like the Taliban and therefore visual images should be prevented from occurring.

Yesterday, we at Expose http://www.facebook.com/groups/expose.thirtytwo/?fref=ts had a visit from Arry Anjalam, also known as Arry Bo and Arry lad. The visit was on the back of us questioning a picture on the EDL “LGBT” division wall and ended up in him telling us that rape “wasn’t too bad”
He continued to state this and was then removed from the group. He went on to make even more vile comments on the “Unplugged debate renovate” page. When posting a heavily edited version on his own wall his friends suggested that Expose should be “gassed like badgers”, what lovely guys.
This, however is part of a much wider and worrying picture of late. Wishing rape on people seems to be the new in thing with the far right.
These comments were from just a few days ago.
this one is from the British Freedom party wall.
When a woman was mistakenly outed as our own Darcy Jones, the rape threats came in thick and fast.
And just to show this isn’t limited to the current crop of morons
The EDL claim to stand up for women’s rights yet many seem to see rape as a legitimate threat to those they disagree with. If there are any decent members of the EDL left, isn’t it time to stand up and say this isn’t ok? For an organisation who seem to believe only Muslims rape, they have a hell of a lot of people who like to use rape threats as a weapon.

Yesterday results came through from the Bedfordshire PCC election, the one thing that was overwhelmingly clear was that the Voters of Bedfordshire were not voters, with a turn out of around 18% the people voted to stay away So, how did our “hero” the beleaguered EDL leader Kevin Carroll cope? Well, he came 4th out of 5 with around 10% of actual votes cast. 10% is a huge defeat for local boy trying to make a splash. British Freedom are, predictably, spinning their arses off about this result. Simultaneously claiming it was unfair and unjust while also claiming a huge victory http://www.luton-dunstable.co.uk/News/PCC-REACTION-Losing-candidate-claims-election-was-unfair-20121116134908.htm?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
In reality British Freedom lost because the people of Bedordshire and the UK do not want racists running our police or any other part of the political process in this country. British Freedoms maths don’t add up (who’d a thunk it?) so Boba Wilson on Expose gave them a little help
British freedom have claimed this as a win against communism, they claimed a victory against the Green party, who weren’t even standing, and they say they have “smashed” Hope not hate. If this is their political future, bring it on, we could always do with a laugh.
