We have all witnessed the treatment of our troops at their homecoming in Barking and the way the local council have ignored the residents of Dagenham over the mosque in green lanes. Therefore to highlight these issues we will be holding a local demonstration on 14th of January. Although this is a locally organised demo we would like to invite and urge all who can, to attend and support this demonstration to help the local residents get the outcome they want and deserve over this mosque application. We also extend this invite to all patriots and concerned citizens so they can join us and help make it clear that we will never allow radical Islam a free hand.

So says the events page for the EDL demo in Barking yesterday. No one seemed to have a very clear idea of what they were protesting against but this was the first demo of the year, first demo of 2012, and as admins had said 2012 is going to be the year of the EDL (they said that in 2011 too, but hey, who remembers what they said a whole year ago?)  The demo itself passed pretty quietly, relatively peacefully. The EDL estimated that 300 turned out, other estimates put it at 92, either way, it wasn’t breaking any records. Following the demo the police moved the EDL on, on to tubes. Seems the EDL weren’t done yet. Many headed to Whitecahpel, home of the East London Mosque. http://apps.facebook.com/theguardian/uk/2012/jan/14/edl-supporters-east-london  “A member of staff at the Indo, a pub opposite the mosque, said the incident began when a gang of “hooligans” entered the bar and started drinking heavily.

“They ordered lots of drinks, then suddenly went into the kitchen and grabbed some knives,” he said, requesting to remain anonymous. “Then they went outside and were shouting something like ‘Allah is a paedo’.” There was no damage to the pub, he said.”  That’s right, the non violent, only against extremists, EDL headed straight for the place where they would cause the most trouble, got pissed and started chanting things designed to upset the locals.

The EDL were there for violence, they were there to intimidate and to start a riot. They were there to get revenge for when they were run out of the area last time.

Nah, course they didn’t. They will probably claim that the guys who did this weren’t EDL but were Marxist infiltrayters.

Peaceful protest is beyond the EDL, they are there to get pissed and have a ruck. Fuck knows what will happen in Leicester, only the fact that they are unlikely to get more than a few hundred there saves the situation. The EDL are violent and extreme and need to be proscribed. Now.
